Section 1: Contact info and eligibility
Section 2: Applicant Profile. You will be asked four short answer questions (below) intended to better understand your interests and experience to determine your fit for our program. There will also be an opportunity to rank the mentors and available projects at VERSA.
In VERSA, students work on discipline-based education research (DBER) projects in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math). Why do you want to conduct research in DBER? How will this work connect to your academic or professional goals? (1000 characters or fewer)
How have you demonstrated academic promise? In your response, please also outline any challenges or obstacles you have faced academically. (500 characters or fewer)Â
VERSA will mostly be online. (However, the position will be full-time and paid, and you will not be able to take a class or have another job during this period.) Why is an online summer research opportunity appealing to you? What qualities or skills do you have that will help you be successful in an online research setting? (1000 characters or fewer)
